How do I know if I am Depressed?

Have you been feeling like hiding yourself away from people because it feels too draining to put on a happy face? Are you feeling disconnected from your emotions or having episodes of crying? Are you having problems sleeping well at night? Perhaps you're no longer able to concentrate on reading a book, watching TV, or feeling motivated at work. You may even be avoiding hobbies or activities you usually enjoy because you just don't feel like doing them.

If this sounds like you, and these experiences are affecting you at work or in your personal life, you may be experiencing symptoms of depression. This is a very common condition and it usually occurs alongside difficulties with anxiety. Most people who are highly anxious have some level of depression, and vice versa. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) can be a really effective approach for learning how to shift symptoms of depression by focusing on the thoughts and actions that may be maintaining or intensifying the depression.

If you haven't been feeling like yourself and would like to explore how therapy may help you lift your mood, please use the contact form on the website to set up a free 15 minute phone consultation to see if we may be a good fit to work together
